In a major breakthrough, a tea factory employee who was abducted by suspected militants, was released today, November 7.
The tea factory employee identified as Gautam Basumatary was rescued by police at 17 mile area of Jairampur, Arunachal Pradesh.
The abduction took place on the night of October 23 when an armed group stormed the premises of Himalaya Tea Company in Tinsukia's Jagun and forcibly took Basumatary at approximately 10:30 PM.
A probe has been initiated into the abduction of the tea factory employee and locate the suspects behind the incident.
