Subhalakshmi Dutta, who had been in custody at the Sivasagar Sadar police station in the Nazira assault case was transported to Sivasagar Civil Hospital for a comprehensive health examination.
Dutta, who is a key figure in the current investigation, has been held at the police station since her arrest. During her time in custody, she has refrained from using her mobile phone, although it is worth noting that the device she had been using prior to her arrest remains in her possession and has not been seized by law enforcement.
The investigation has also not yet led to the seizure of the pot that was reportedly involved in an incident where hot water was poured on Anima Praja. This item remains unaccounted for.
Sources close to the case have revealed that Subhalakshmi Dutta has had a particularly austere day, having consumed nothing more than a glass of hot water until 2:30 pm.
Contrary to earlier speculation, it has been clarified by police sources that Subhalakshmi Dutta is not scheduled to be transported to Nazira at this time. The ongoing interrogation, conducted under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Prakash Medhi, continues to progress.
Throughout her time in custody Dutta has been observed spending her nights on a pucca floor, using a bed cover for comfort.
