Assam bypoll results: AGP’s Diptimoyee Choudhury secures Bongaigaon seat with resounding victory

Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Diptimoyee Choudhury emerged victorious in the Bongaigaon constituency, defeating her opponents by an impressive margin of 34,499 votes. The landslide win solidified AGP’s stronghold in the region.  

As the results were announced, jubilant supporters took to the streets, celebrating Choudhury's victory with enthusiasm, marking a moment of pride for the party and its followers. The win is seen as a significant boost for AGP's prospects in the political landscape of Assam.

Meanwhile, BJP candidate Diganta Ghatowal emerged victorious in the Behali constituency during the Assam bypolls, securing a decisive win with 50,947 votes. Ghatowal triumphed over his closest rival, Congress candidate Jayanta Borah, by a significant margin of 9,051 votes.  

As the vote counting for Sidli Assembly Constituency (No. 31) continues, United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) candidate Nirmal Kumar Brahma has taken a commanding lead as the 14th round of vote counting has ended.
