Assam: Dhubri police detain fraudster for large-scale car finance scam

Assam's Dhubri police detained a fraudster in connection with a large-scale car finance scam. 
 

The individual, identified as Abu Hanif Ahmed, was detained following an FIR lodged at the Gauripur Police Station.
 

Ahmed, a resident of Baniyamari village in Makrijhora which falls under Gauripur police station, allegedly used to purchase financed vehicles from various individuals with the intent of selling them outside the state without clearing the outstanding finances.
 

The fraudulent scheme came to light through investigative efforts, leading to Ahmed’s detention. Currently, the accused is in police custody and undergoing interrogation to uncover the full extent of his activities.
 

Authorities are now working to recover the vehicles and identify others who may be involved in the scam. 
 

Further investigations are underway to prevent similar fraudulent activities in the future.
