In a drive against cattle smugglers, Dhubri police seized five cattle heads and one vehicle involved in transportation on Tuesday night, which is a big accomplishment in countering such illicit acts.
It is noteworthy that in the Folimari region neighbouring Dhubri town, officer in-charge Munna Pachani and the Dhubri Sadar police station crew retrieved five cows in addition to one Chevrolet OPTRA bearing registration number AS-16D-9534.
It's unfortunate that the suspected cattle smuggler cum driver managed to escape when he thought the cops were coming, but the recovery of the cows and the vehicle is still a significant achievement in disrupting such illegal activities by Dhubri police and reflects their dedication to upholding the law and stopping illicit activity.
Subsequently, the police personnel broke the vehicle's dickey and retrieved the five cows that had been tied inside before bringing them to the Dhubri Sadar police station. The cows are suspected to have been brought from West Bengal.
