Aminul Islam has officially entered the electoral race from the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency by filing his nomination papers. Accompanied by AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal, Islam submitted his candidacy documents at the Nagaon district commissioner's office.

Asserting confidence in his campaign, Aminul Islam led a spirited rally from Siloni Chachali drawing thousands of supporters. Amidst fervent chants and enthusiastic displays of support, Islam expressed certainty about his victory in the upcoming elections.
Aminul Islam will be contesting against Pradyut Bordoloi from the Congress party and Suresh Bora from the Bharatiya Janata party, who has secured the party's ticket for the constituency.
Meanwhile, another contender has thrown her hat into the ring in Nagaon. Shikha Sharma, hailing from Nagaon district, has filed her nomination independently for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Sharma, in a separate event at the district commissioner's office, submitted her nomination papers, signaling her intent to contest the election as an independent candidate.
