Assam: Major fire outbreak at plastic godown in Jorabat, property worth lakhs destroyed

A massive fire broke out at a plastic carton godown near Jorabat area in Assam on September 6. Fire tenders reached the spot and managed to douse the fire.

As per preliminary reports, the fire broke out following a cylinder blast that soon spread the flames in the godown.
Alert citizens informed the fire tenders who reached the spot and managed to control the blaze. Meanwhile the total estimate of the loss due to the fire is yet to be ascertained.
