Assam: Man kills young entrepreneur in Bongaigaon, arrested

A man brutally attacked a 23-year-old young entrepreneur in Khagarpur area of Bongaigaon district in Assam on November 12.

As per preliminary reports, the deceased identified as Sanjit Saha was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon by Adhar Ray. 

Saha, who hailed from Boxirhat in Cooch Behar district, had been residing at his maternal uncle’s house in Khagarpur Shalbar while running a fruit business in the local market.

The shocking murder occurred when Adhar Ray, a resident of the same area, allegedly assaulted Saha with a sharp weapon, resulting in a gruesome death. The motive behind the act is still unclear.

A police team reached the scene following reports of the crime. After a preliminary investigation, the police apprehended Adhar Ray, who is now in custody. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the fatal encounter.
