Manjit Basumatary, a resident of Thuribari village near Kokrajhar, has brought pride to his community by securing the 26th rank in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) examination on his fourth attempt. The achievement has sparked celebrations in his village, with locals showering flowers and performing traditional dances to honour his determination and success.
Currently working as a branch manager at Oriental Insurance Company in Barpeta Road, Manjit balanced his demanding job with his preparation for the competitive exam. His journey to success reflects persistence and dedication, overcoming challenges to achieve his goal of serving society.
Manjit credits his success to the support of his family, particularly his mother, Panchi Basumatary, and his wife, Priyanka Brahma. He is the son of the late Ranendra Basumatary, and his accomplishments have been a source of pride for his family and community.
Sharing his experience, Manjit highlighted the importance of hard work and a focused approach. He urged the younger generation to remain committed to their goals and value the guidance of their parents. "Success is achievable with determination and consistent effort," he said.
