In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, police in Borni Shantipur apprehended a suspected drug supplier, Rafik Ali, during an intensive anti-drug operation. Ali was found in possession of 23 containers filled with substances suspected to be heroin powder, which he had cleverly concealed inside his jacket.
Along with the drugs, the police also seized Rs 5,210 in cash, a mobile phone, and a luxury four-wheeler bearing the registration number AS-01AA 2115, allegedly linked to incidents of cattle theft.
Local residents had long accused Rafik Ali of running a drug supply network from his residence, adding to suspicions about his involvement in illegal activities.
Police officials have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with Rafik Ali under interrogation to uncover further details about his network and operations.
