A devastating fire engulfed a Jute Corporation of India (JCI) godown in Assam's Morigaon district on Wednesday, February 14, decimating properties worth several crores of rupees, according to sources.
The godown is situated in the Bhuragaon area of Morigaon. District administration officials were on the scene soon after the incident.
Multiple fire tenders were deployed to combat the raging blaze. Despite the extensive property damage, there have been no reports of casualties. The cause of the fire remains uncertain at the time of reporting.
