A rare Caped Langur was found dead in Kaziranga's Burha Hills after being hit by unidentified vehicle on the National Highway 37 along the Animal Corridor.
Later, an interceptor vehicle of Nagaon district transport department reached and recovered the body and sent it to the office of the Forest Officer of Budha Hills.
It is to be noted that sensor cameras installed on the highways of Kaziranga to control the speed of traffic are often malfunctioning.
As a result wild animals have been killed after being hit by a speeding vehicle on the highway of Kaziranga but the forest department has been accused of not paying attention.
