The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief, Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, has taken a firm stance against the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), claiming it to be anti-Quran and anti-Islam.
AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal was the chief guest at a religious congregation at Balapara Jamiatul Banat Madrasa in Jogighopa said, "Where is the INDI alliance, Mamata Banerjee has sidelined herself, even AAP and soon you will see Akhilesh Yadav will be out of the India alliance."
Further speaking about the Mangaldoi seat, the AIUDF chief claimed that the party has not decided anything as of now.

Speaking on UCC, Ajmal said, "UCC is against the Quran and Islam...against Hindu and also Muslim... it is against all religions".
On the lines of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the AIUDF leader said that Congress is deemed to get zero seats.
Despite these objections, there are voices within the Muslim community, including some scholars and researchers, who support the UCC.
