The lifeless body of a wild elephant was discovered in Ballamjhora village, located within the Raimona Western Forest Range. Residents suspect that the elephant may have strayed from the nearby Raimona National Park due to the rising water levels in the area.
The villagers stumbled upon the deceased elephant, which was found trapped in a collapsed embankment. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, they alerted the forest department early last night.
Forest department officials are currently on-site, working diligently to retrieve the elephant’s body from the water.
