Assam: Woman kills her 3 kids, attempts suicide after injuring sister in Karimganj

In a horrifying incident in Dalunga village of Ramakrishnanagar in Karimganj, Assam, a mother allegedly killed three of her minor children and seriously injured her younger sister. 

The deceased children have been identified as Shahajan Ahmed (2), Sukian Ahmed (4) and Majida Begum (6), all below the age of 7. The mother, identified as Shahanara Afroze, also allegedly attacked her sister, Sharmin, and attempted suicide. 

Both Shahanara and Sharmin are currently admitted to a local hospital. The incident is believed to have occurred due to a family dispute. At the time of the incident, Shahanara's husband, Sharif, was reportedly not at home.
