Christian communities across Kokrajhar district gathered in large numbers to celebrate the occasion with great enthusiasm and devotion. The atmosphere in the churches was filled with joy and reverence, as devotees came together to mark this special day in the Christian calendar.
A significant mass prayer took place at the central Catholic Church, attended by Assam's former minister, Promila Rani Brahma. During the prayer, Brahma offered heartfelt supplications to Lord Jesus, seeking peace and harmony for the state of Assam. Her divine prayers were a symbol of hope, reflecting the deep commitment to fostering unity and tranquility in the region.
In addition to the Catholic gathering, communal prayer meetings were also held at the Baptist and Lutheran churches, where Christian followers came together to strengthen their faith and celebrate the message of Christmas.
Promila Rani Brahma, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the sacredness of Christmas and underscored the importance of unity in society. She urged the people of Assam to continue building bridges of peace and understanding, stressing that harmony among all communities is the true spirit of Christmas.
