Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the oath-taking ceremony of five newly elected MLAs from the recently concluded Assembly by-polls.
The ceremony, held in the Assam Assembly, marked the induction of Nihar Ranjan Das, Diptimoyee Choudhury, Diganta Ghatowal, Nirmal Brahma, and Diplu Ranjan Sarmah as members of the legislative assembly.
CM Sarma extended his best wishes to the MLAs and expressed confidence in their contributions to the state’s development.
"Their dedication will undoubtedly strengthen governance and the vision for a progressive Assam," he remarked.

Assam Minister UG Brahma also addressed the media, emphasizing the growing strength of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state.
“Five newly elected MLAs have joined the Assembly today, increasing the strength of the NDA. The public recognizes the leadership of PM Modi as the future of India. Assam, under this leadership, is the fastest-growing state in sectors like education and development,” he stated.
The recent by-poll results have bolstered the NDA’s position in Assam, reflecting public confidence in the coalition's governance.
The new MLAs are expected to play pivotal roles in accelerating the state’s growth across various sectors.
