Himanta Biswa Sarma rebukes Bangladesh's imaginary map including Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has strongly dismissed claims of an alleged imaginary map created by some individuals in Bangladesh, which purportedly depicts Assam as part of their country.

In a firm statement, Sarma underscored that such claims hold no relevance to Assam's trajectory of growth and development. "Some people in Bangladesh are making an imaginary map in which Assam is shown as a part of Bangladesh. But we are actually building semiconductor factories in Assam. Their fantasy does not matter to us," he stated.

The Chief Minister further emphasized the state's focus on advancing its infrastructure and economy. “People of Assam closely observe the issues in Bangladesh. Those who create maps will continue doing so, but we are focused on advancing Assam. Does Bangladesh have a semiconductor industry? We are taking Assam so far ahead that people from Bangladesh will be amazed when they visit. They won’t be able to comprehend or compete with Assam's progress.”

Sarma highlighted the establishment of semiconductor factories as a significant milestone in Assam's industrial development, which aims to position the state as a hub of technological innovation and economic growth.
