In the latest development to the unfortunate and shocking Bihar train accident that killed four and injured more than seventy, two of the deceased that includes one minor, hailed from Assam's Sadiya.
As per sources, two deceased passengers Usha Bhandari (33) and Aakriti Bhandari (8), both mother-daughter were residents of Sadiya who were on their returning from Nepal via New Jalpaiguri when the sensational train accident took place in Bihar.
A state of shock and mourning has shrouded the family of the deceased in Sadiya.
"Received the terrible news at 6 am this morning. We were informed that the accident took place last night at around 10 pm. The family of four included my brother-in-law, big sister and her two daughters. Names are Usha Bhandari, Aditi Bhandari, Aakriti Bhandari aru Deepak Bhandari. My sister got marrieed in Nepal and was staying with her husband in Delhi. They were returning from Nepal when the accident happened. Yes, contacted them before they boarded the train, then after we got no contact", said the kin of the deceased passenger Usha Bhandari.
Currently, the bodies of the deceased are being brought to their home state from Bihar. The Chief Minister of Assam has expressed grief and condoled the death of the passengers in the horrific train accident.
