Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has targeted the Gandhi family, labeling them as the most corrupt family in the country.
During a press conference amidst the ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi, CM Sarma stated that the Gandhi family's corruption extends from the Bofors case to the Bhopal gas tragedy.
He alleged that they aided Anderson in escaping the country post the Bhopal tragedy. In addition to corruption, CM Sarma accused the Gandhis of using a false name. He further criticised the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi, renaming it as 'Miya Yatra'.
He claimed that the Yatra is primarily focused on areas populated by the Miya community, thus questioning its genuine intent.
