LONDON: At least 12 people have been killed and around 50 others were injured in shootings across the United States over the weekend.

Deaths were recorded in New Jersey, South Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, and Minnesota as a result of the shooting spree.

According to state police, family house party in South Jersey turned into crime scene, with at least two people killed and 12 others injured.

At a concert in South Carolina, one 14-year-old girl was killed and 14 others were injured.

After responding to call about shots fired, police in Atlanta, Georgia, discovered three gunshot victims early Sunday.

Early Sunday morning, three more people were killed and eight others were injured outside a bar in Youngstown, Ohio, while a 16-year-old girl was killed and seven others were injured in a park in Columbus.

fatal shooting occurred the night before supporters and relatives of George Floyd, the Black man killed by white former police officer last spring, held march on the one-year anniversary of his death on Sunday. 

One individual was killed, eight others were injured, and one of the victims is in critical condition.

In recent months, there have been mass shootings at a FedEx plant in Indianapolis, an office building in California, a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado — as well as a birthday party in the same city a few weeks later — and several spas in Atlanta.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been at least 200 mass shootings in the United States so far this year.
