NEW DELHI: In a significant development, 21-year-old Disha Ravi who was picked up by the Delhi Police in Bengaluru was sent to police custody for five days by the Patiala House Court on Sunday for allegedly disseminating the 'toolkit' related to farmers' protests on social media.

 

Disha is a co-founder of the ‘Fridays for Future’ (FFF) campaign in India was arrested by a Special Cell of the Delhi Police on Saturday house located within Soladevanahalli police station limits in Bengaluru.

When today accused Disha Ravi was produced in the Hon’ble court the public prosecutor, arguing at the court, asserted that on February 3, Disha Ravi had edited the toolkit and also confirmed that her mobile had been recovered and that data had yet to be retrieved.

The public prosecutor, arguing for the Delhi Police, alleged a large plot against the Indian government to restore the Khalistan group through the toolkit and claimed that it involved thousands of people.

Disha Ravi said in her defense that she had edited only two lines of the toolkit and said she was influenced by the protests of the farmers and therefore extended her support to them.

The 21-year-old activist also claimed that every party had its own toolkit, including the BJP, and that she was not aware of any major conspiracy behind the toolkit shared by Greta Thunberg.
