Guwahati, March 15, 2019:

In the worst attack in island nation New Zealand’s history, 49 people have been killed and 20 were injured after dastardly attacks on two mosques in the city of Christchurch. The two targets were the Masjid al Noor and another mosque in the locality of Linwood.

According to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, the mosque attack appears to be a meticulously planned out “terrorist attack.” She further stated that it is one of the darkest days in the history of generally-peaceful New Zealand. Moreover, two explosive devices attached to vehicles have been disarmed and removed.

Witnesses at the Masjid al Noor mosque said that a man wearing a black outfit and helmet entered the mosque and started firing indiscriminately. Ten fatalities have also been reported from the Linwood mosque.

Meanwhile, police have warned worshippers not to visit any mosques in New Zealand. As per reports, four people – three men and one woman – have been arrested in connection with the case.

Meanwhile, a cricket test match between the New Zealand and Bangladesh cricket teams has been canceled in view of the incident.
