60TH ANNUAL CONVENTION OF ASSAM TEA WORKERS ASSOCIATION TO COMMENCE FROM APRIL 29

The 60^th annual convention of the Assam Tea Workers Association(ATWA) will be held from April 29 in Sripuria Bihutoli in Tinsukia district of Assam. Addressing a press meet held at the Tinsukia Press Club today, the Panitola branch of Assam Tea Workers Association said that the convention would be a three day affair. ATWA central general secretary Girish Chandra Barpatra Gohain, Bhuban Gogoi, Rishav Kalita were present in the press meet. More than 800 delegates from different tea gardens will take part in the convention. The deplorable state of the tea industry was also discussed in the press meet.
