AITUC Manipur GS urges Govt’s attention to stop illegal activities being carried in the state

IMPHAL: The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) Manipur general secretary has urged the government to take up necessary action to stop illegal activities being carried out along in the state.

L Sotinkumar stressed on this during the second conference of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) Imphal City District Committee held at the Irawat Bhawan Complex near BT Road yesterday.

He also spoke about illegal extortion on highways and urged the government to take the requisite steps to prevent such illegal activities.

He also discussed how to deal with the numerous violations of labour laws and reforms to the Trade Union Act that have harmed farmers.

Moreover, a 27-member council of new members was formed for the session 2021-2023, and a resolution to make the May 1 'Labour Day' celebration.
