New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has donated Rs. 2 crore to the Rakab Ganj Gurdwara's Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid care centre in Delhi.
He expressed gratitude to the veteran actor and said that Big B referred to Sikhs as legendary. The actor has also made arrangements for the Covid treatment centre to receive oxygen cylinders.

Amitabh Bachchan has donated Rs 2 crore to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Facility, according to Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who is also the national spokesperson for the Akali Dal party.
"'Sikhs are Legendary, Salute To Their Service'. These were the words of Amitabh Bachchan when he contributed ₹ 2 crore to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Facility," said Mr Sirsa, who is also the national spokesperson for Akali Dal party.

While Delhi was grappling for Oxygen, Amitabh Ji called me almost daily to enquire about the progress of this Facility.”
Amitabh Bachchan posted a video from the Vax Live event on Twitter on Sunday, in which he can be seen pleading with the world to assist India in its battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

The actor took part in the global Vax Live action, which focused on the coronavirus. In the video, Bachchan said, "Namaskar, this is Amitabh Bachchan. My country India is battling with the sudden surge of the second wave of Covid 19. As a global citizen I appeal to all global citizens to rise up, speak to your governments, pharmaceutical companies and ask them to donate, to give, to extend a helping hand, to the public that needs it the most. Every effort counts. As Mahatma Gandhiji said: 'In a gentle way you can shake the world'. thank you."
