ASSAM: STUDENTS OF GAUHATI UNIVERSITY RAISED PROTEST OVER THE VISIT OF AMIT SHAH

The students of Gauhati University raised Protest over the coming of Amit Shah to the State. The Protest organized under the leadership of Khyatirmoy Bora, Guwahati City Committee President of Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti(SMSS) and Saurav Gogoi, University Law College SMSS unit general secretary raised black flags in front of Dr.Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra to voice their concern against the Citizenship Amendment Bill. The Protestors also burnt effigy of the BJP National President to portray their grievances  However the protest was interfered by an army of Police at the pretext of maintaining law and order. Two of the protestors were also arrested but released by the dusk.
