Guwahati, February 5, 2019:

The 2017-2019 B.ed trainee batch has called for a complete ‘bandh’ in Manipur Hill and Valley areas due to delay in declaration of B.ed first semester exam results. The exam was conducted from 12/04/2018-04/05/2018. The bandh will be held from 4 am 10th February to 4 pm 10th February.

The body has urged the Government to stop its “delaying tactics” and appealed the university as well as Manipur Government to follow the semester system and finish in a time-bound period.

They have asked for cooperation from student organizations such as AMSU, DESA, SSUK, AIIMS, KSO, ATSUM and ANSUM.

Press, medical, administration, police, para-military, pre-engaged programs and students moving to their places of study have been exempted from the ‘bandh’.
