Bollywood actor Adil Hussain receives first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

HAMPI: Acclaimed Bollywood actor Adil Hussain today received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The accomplished actor was administered the vaccine at the Anegundi Health Centre in Hampi in Vijayanagara district of Karnataka.

After receiving the vaccine, Hussain appealed to all people above 45 years to get themselves vaccinated.

India’s special four-day vaccination programme (Tika Utsav) kicked off today with an aim to inoculate a maximum number of eligible people against coronavirus.

The vaccination drive will be conducted till April 14 throughout the country.

Meanwhile, prime minister Narendra Modi posted a message on Twitter to mark the Tika Utsav. He also posted four requests along with his message.

PM Modi’s four requests are, Each One-Vaccinate One, Each One-Treat One, Each One-Save One, and creation of micro-containment zones.
