Washington DC: Joe Biden is the 46th and the 15th Vice President to become President of the United States of America.
According to the latest projections, Democrat nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden has won the US Presidential election and will be the 46th President. Counting of votes is still on in some of the key battleground states. Biden's running mate Kamala Harris will be the first female VP.
CNN is reporting that results in Philadelphia will be declared over the next few hours and it will be declared in favour of Biden who holds the lead. If this comes to pass, Biden will have 284 votes -- enough to secure the Presidency.

Meanwhile, President Trump has said that he is preparing for a legal battle to challenge the election results.
