NEW DELHI: India recorded the lowest daily count of COVID-19 cases in about 50 days with 152,734 cases confirmed in the last 24 hours.

 

However, the death toll remained over 3000-mark with 3128 death recorded in a single day. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 38,047,534 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the country so far.

 

The total death toll has reached up to 329,100 while the test positivity rate has risen to 9 per cent.

The country recorded 28,864 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours with Tamil Nadu topping the list. Karnataka is in second position with 28,053 cases reported in a single day.

 

The six most affected cases of country are Maharashtra (5,731,815), Karnataka (2,587,827), Kerala (2,514,279), Tamil Nadu (2,068,580), Uttar Pradesh (1,690,060), and Andhra Pradesh (1,685,142).

 

India continues to be the second worst-hit nation in the world.
