According to media reports, prohibitory measures are clamped in Ranchi, Howrah and some parts of Jammu and Kashmir following violent protests over controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammed by former BJP spokespersons.
A curfew has been imposed in the Doda and Kishtwar districts of J&K to prevent the outbreak of communal clashes.
At least two people have been killed, over 200 have been arrested, several cases are registered and internet services are suspended in some parts of the country after Friday's protests in many cities.
