Drugs worth Rs 1.30 crore seized in Manipur’s Moreh

Guwahati, February 5, 2019:

A team of Civil Defence Organization (CDO) and Moreh Police on Monday seized a huge amount of drugs and apprehended an individual traveling from Moreh towards Imphal along NH- 102 in relation to the case.

The accused has been identified as Thongkholal Haokip.

The team seized 50 packets of heroin powder (each weighing 13 grams) from the vehicle Haokip was traveling in. A total of 650 gms of heroin powder has been seized which is estimated to be worth Rs. 1.30 crore.

The accused has been handed over to Moreh police. Further investigation is on.
