NEW DELHI: Petrol and diesel prices were again raised for the second day in a row, reaching new highs across the country on Monday, June 7, 2021.
Petrol prices increased by 28 paise in the national capital, while diesel prices increased by 27 paise.
Following the recent price increase, petrol now costs Rs 95.31 per litre in Delhi, while diesel costs Rs 86.22. Petrol costs Rs 101.52 in Mumbai's financial hub, while diesel costs Rs 93.58, according to data from the Indian Oil Corporation.
Rates have been raised 21 times since May 4.

Since May 4, the price of petrol in Delhi has risen by Rs 4.76 per litre, while the price of diesel has risen by Rs 5.31 per litre. Fuel prices are revised on a daily basis by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) in accordance with international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates.
At Rs.101.52 per litre, Mumbai has the highest petrol price among metro cities. Diesel costs Rs 93.58 per litre in the country's financial centre. The most expensive petrol and diesel in the country were found in the Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan at Rs 106.37 per litre and Rs 99.23 per litre, respectively.
