Based on specific input from sources, a joint operation was conducted in general area of Chhinga Veng in Aizawl of Mizoram on Wednesday by troops of Assam Rifles and Special Narcotics Department, Mizoram.
During the search operation, the team of Assam Rifles and state agency recovered 199 live rounds of .22 ammunition and apprehended two persons in relation to the case.
The apprehendees have been identified as Lalhmangaiha, (24 yrs) who is a resident of Mizoram and the accomplice as Limona, (31yrs), a resident of Bangladesh.
The nabbed persons along with recovered ammunition have been handed over to Aizawl Police for further investigation.
