AIZAWL: Yet in another breakthrough troops of Assam Rifles recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition and other war-like stores along the Indo-Myanmar border near Champhai district of Mizoram.
The recovered cache of arms and ammunition were seized yesterday during an operation carried out near Tiau Kai Village of Champhai based on specific information.
The operation was launched by Assam Rifles personnel from Champhai post of Serchhip Battalion along with village council representatives Tiau Kai village of Champhai.
The recovered war-like stores include--100 live rounds, 38 numbers of Neogel Gelatin, and 251 numbers of Detonators.

The team had a specific information about the presence of a cache in the jungle near village Tiau Kai.
The joint team carried out a detailed search of the area nearby and recovered the huge cache of arms and ammunition and other war-like stores.
Use of such war like stores could have endangered the lives of innocent people and led to various illegal activities.
According to sources, this recovery has prevented the loss of precious lives.
