New Delhi: India's total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 2,49,65,463, with 2,81,386 new infections and 2,11,74,076 recoveries, according to data updated on Monday by the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll increases to 2,74,390 with 4,106 new deaths, according to data updated at 8 a.m.

According to the report, there are 36,18,458 active cases in the country as of date, accounting for 14.66 percent of the total caseload. The recovery rate in India is now at 84.25 percent.
The seven-day average of daily cases has dropped for seven days in a row, the positivity rate has dropped below 20% in the last week and active cases have dropped by over 1.5 lakh.
Deaths are still at an all-time high and could remain that way for a while longer, despite the fact that average daily deaths have fallen slightly in the last two days.
