NEW DELHI: India has reported 89,129 fresh COVID-19 cases and 714 coronavirus-related deaths in the past 24 hours.
With these new cases, the country's total number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 1,23,92,260.
India's death toll has risen to 1,64,110 after 714 new deaths have been reported.
Currently, the country has 6,58,909 active cases.
On Friday, 44,202 people were discharged after recovery, bringing the total number of people recovery to 1,15,69,241.

According to reports, on Friday, 10,46,605 samples were tested, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). So far, a total of 24,69,59,192 samples have been tested.
Meanwhile, a total of 7,30,54,295 people have been vaccinated in the country till yesterday.
The government began vaccinating all citizens over the age of 45 on Thursday.
In the first phase of India's vaccination campaign, priority was given to both healthcare and frontline staff. The second phase began on March 1, with doses being given to people over the age of 60 and those between the ages of 45 and 59 who had unique comorbidities.
