The total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 67,152 from Sunday's 62,939 cases, marking the biggest one-day jump in cases in India.
As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 97 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours. The death toll has now increased to 2,206. Out of the total cases, there are 44,029 active cases, which also increased from 37,916.
With 22,171 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, Maharashtra remains the worst-affected state in the country, followed by Gujarat and Tamil Nadu with 8,194 and 7,204 cases respectively. Total Deaths in Maharashtra reached 832, followed by Gujarat with 493.

Tamil Nadu surpassed Delhi in total coronavirus cases. Delhi has reported 6,923 cases while Tamil Nadu has 7,204 cases.
In Assam, there are 63 confirmed cases so far along with 2 deaths.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Tripura stands at 152 after another 16 persons have tested positive from the 86th bn of the Border Security Force (BSF).
