Indo-Thailand Military Exercise Underway at Meghalaya

Umroi, September 28, 2019:

The Indo-Thailand joint military exercise Maitree 2019 is underway at Umroi Military Station in Meghalaya.

An IAF Mi 17 took part in Indo-Thailand Joint Ex Maitree 2019 on Friday at Umroi.

The helicopter inserted mixed sticks comprised of Indian Army and Royal Thai Army soldiers into the mock operational area.

The helicopter flew tactically and troops were given the practice of "low hover jump" from the helicopter.

The sticks dismounted tactically and secured the Drop Zone.

After all the sticks were successfully inducted, the troops regrouped, re-established Command and Control and moved tactically for the next training assignment.
