BHUBANESWAR: The iconic Jagannath temple in Puri, Odisha will open for visitors on July 25.
Reportedly, the decision was taken during a meeting among the members of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
According to an announcement made earlier, the temple was supposed to remain closed for devotees till June 15. However, the restrictions have been extended till July 25, informed SJTA's chief Administrator Krishan Kumar.

The temple will open to the public two days after the completion of the Ratha Jatra festival.
Reportedly, another meeting will be held among the SJTA members to come up with final guidelines.
The traditional 'bathing ceremony' will be held on June 24 while Rath yatra will begin on July 12 without the participation of devotees and strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
Only servitors will be allowed to participate in the Rath Yatra in the presence of security personnel.
