Nagaland, February 23, 2019:

The Governor of Nagaland, Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya on Friday administered the Oath of Office to Justice Uma Nath Singh, former Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, as the Lokayukta of Nagaland at a programme held at Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan of Kohima.

Justice Uma Nath Singh is the first Lokayukta of the state and will hold the office of the Lokayukta of Nagaland for a term of five years or till he attains the age of 70.

The Oath taking ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, Leader of Opposition, TR Zeliang and a host of Ministers, MLAs and government officers.
