Meghalaya's Garo Hills to plunge into darkness for 6 hrs every night

SHILLONG: A new load-shedding time has been announced by the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) on Wednesday, hence the entire Garo Hills region and Shillong will now experience load-shedding for six hours from midnight.
Power will be cut from 6 am to 9 am in the entire Khasi Hills except for Shillong.
From 9 am to 12 pm, power will be out in the Jaintia Hills and Ri Bhoi districts.
While Khasi Hills (excluding Shillong) and Jaintia Hills (industrial areas) will experience power outages from 12 pm to 2 pm.

In Jaintia Hills (public and industrial areas) power supply will be cut
from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Ri Bhoi (public areas) and Jaintia Hills industrial areas will experience power again from 4 pm to 6 pm while Ri Bhoi industrial areas will face power outages from 6 pm till midnight.
