MANIPUR: AAJEEVIKA EVAM KAUSHAL VIKAS MELA ORGANISED IN THE STATE

The Aajeevikas Evam Kaushal Vikas Mela under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan was organized under the initiative of the District Administration, Churachandpur District today.

Attending the programme at District Training Centre, Near DC Office Shri V Hangkhanlian, Hon’ble Minister (Agri/Vety.& AH) said most of the people of Churachandpur District are ignorant about the schemes being provided by the Govt. of India and Govt. of Manipur. As we have been observing the Abhiyan for the last 20 days, it is our sole duty to make the public aware of the schemes and that is the main theme of the Abhiyan, said the Minister. The Minister also appealed to the District Council Members, Officials of the District, Public leaders, Village authorities and Philanthropic Organisation to extend maximum cooperation so that the Abhiyan becomes a grand success in the District.

In connection with this scheme, the Govt. of Manipur under the leadership of Hon’ble CM Shri N Biren Singh launched ‘Go to Village’ Mission on the 1st of May and he feels sorry for not able to attend the function in the district due to some important assignment in Bangalore, said the Minister.

Six beneficiaries from different villages received new LPG connection today under Ujjwala scheme at the venue.

Other dignitaries attending the programme included Shri S L Meena, Jt. Secretary (DONER) GOI, Shri Shyam Lal Poonia, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Churachandpur and other DLOs of the District.
