MANIPUR: ASSAM RIFLE APPREHENDS ONE KYKL CADRE

In a combine operation led by a team of CDO Moreh DSP Thomas Thokchom and OC Moreh Y Shakti Shen Singh alongwith a team of 11 Assam Rifles under the supervision of SP/ Tengnoupal Dr. S  Ibomcha Singh  arrested one cadre of banned organization Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) from Gate no.2, Ward no. 5, Moreh.

The arrested was identified as Naorem Nanao alias Korouhanba (28) son of Naorem Thambouyaima of Pukhou, Ahallup, Sagolmang, Imphal East. His rank is sergeant with army number 628 who joined the organization in 2006 and received basic training (23rd batch) at Tanan in Sagang province of Myanmar for 3 months. He revealed that he joined KYKL through one s/s Private Jeevan Sapam of Bashikhong and recently he was stationed in 2nd Battalion of KYKL at Taka camp in Eastern Nagaland. He is currently based at KYKL Camp at Tanan (Sagang Province) in Myanmar. A case has been registered against him at Moreh police station.
