The program was organised by the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd., (a Govt of India Enterprise), Uripok Achom Leikai, Imphal in association with District Administration, Chandel.
The objective of the program is to create awareness about self employment opportunities among the educated unemployed youths/entrepreneurs/MSMEs in the district for setting up their own enterprise instead of looking for jobs only.
Deputy Commissioner, Shri Krishna Kumar and Shri Y. Raghumani Sigh graced the program as Chief Guest and President respectively. P. Loken Singh, Chairman, Manipur Industries Development Council, Smt. Salle Pao, Deputy Director, Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Imphal, T.S. Rungwar, President, Naga Chiefs Association, Chandel, Dr. A. Chinglenkhomba, ADC, Chandel attended as Guests of Honour.
Speaking at the program, DC, Chandel Shri Krishna Kumar said that only a few per cent of National Skill Development Program has reached Chandel district. He said that the district would be more developed when it has more skilled and trained people. He urged all concerned, particularly the educated unemployed youths in the district to look for self employment opportunities and for setting up their own enterprise instead of looking for government jobs only.
