IMPHAL: The Manipur government on Friday extended the night curfew in all districts across the state from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. until July 20.
According to an order released by Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, the COVID-19 situation in the state remains a source of concern, requiring actions to prevent the infection's spread.
On days when grocery stores are closed, authorised service centres for personal computers and mobiles may be allowed to open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the order. Opening will be contingent on the COVID-19 scenario and vaccination progress, said order.

While the district administration will confirm that vegetable seller are clearly addressed and compiled, grocery stores will run as usual from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on July 12, 15, and 18, according to the order.
In the meantime, the state has reported 852 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, including 4 CAPF personnel, bringing the total number of active and positive cases to 6,610 and 76,032 respectively.
A state health department release stated on Friday that ten additional persons died from the virus at RIMS, JNIMS, Shija Hospital, Churachndpur district hospital and home isolation, bringing the total death toll to 1,251.
