Manipur girl reportedly harassed in Gurugram; rescued by good samaritans

GURUGRAM: In a sensational development reported from Gurugram in the NCR region, a young woman who was allegedly being harassed was rescued by good samaritans in the nick of time.

A local youth called Vikas helped the police make the eventual breakthrough and they were able to salvage the girl in the nick of time.

This was initially reported by NGO My Home India which posted on its official handle, "Girl from #Manipur was being harassed by a boy in #Gurugram.@MyHomeIndia requested local volunteers to intervene. With help of Vikas Ji, @gurgaonpolice we intervened & helped the girl. Girl is safe and necessary action against boy have been taken."

Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh, lauding the effort to ensure the young woman's safety wrote, "Well done My Home India team , thanks for caring our people."
