MANIPUR: ONE UNLF ARRESTED IN MOREH

In a search operation a team of CDO Moreh led by DSP/CDO Moreh Thomas Thokchom along with OC/CDO Moreh Y Shakti Shen Singh, under the supervision of SP/ Tengnoupal Dr. S Ibomcha Singh arrested one cadre of banned organization United National Liberation Front (UNLF) from Sunrise Ground, Dalpati, Ward no.1 of Moreh, today at around 3:30 p.m.

The arrestee was identified as Haorongbam Ranjit alias Lumba (40) son of Haorongbam Zila of Keibi, Lausangkhong, Lamlai, Imphal East. His rank is s/s Captain with army no.561. He joined the organization in 1996 and received basic training (12th batch) in Eastern Nagaland for 50 days.

He revealed that he joined UNLF through one Major Chaoba(CS). Earlier he served in the intelligence wing of the organization in Kumbi aiding the Sajik Tampak battalion of UNLF. In 2017 he also took up the charge of Naga Revolutionary Front (NRF) as CO. He is currently based in GHQ of UNLF in Thongren in Myanmar. A case has been registered against him at Moreh PS.
