BENGALURU: Junior India women forward Lalrindiki (20), who was once inspired by football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, recently revealed she is now inspired by senior team member Lalremsiami’s rapid rise and envisions a similar career trajectory.
Having earned close to four years of experience with the Junior India women setup, she is now looking a major breakthrough.
She said that Lalremsiami has always been helpful. Lalrindiki further said that whenever they met, Lalremsiami always gives her pointers on how to improve and what it takes to get to play for the senior team.
Many girls follow her (Lalremsiami’s) footsteps in Mizoram, the youngster recently gushed in front of media.
“Lalrindiki too wants to play for the senior team in the future. I like her technique and she works very hard on her game,” Lalremsiami said, praising the youngster.
The 20-year-old was quietly making her presence felt in the national set up while making history with the senior team.

She was part of India’s recent tour of Junior India women of Chile where the visitors ended the tour unbeaten.
In Chile, Lalrindiki entered the limelight by scoring two goals.
She said she was very happy to help her team by scoring goals, and so, wants to contribute more.
Going by their performances in Chile, no team will be taking Lalrindiki and the junior India women lightly in upcoming tournaments.
